Right Wingnut Shocker! Gay-Bashing California YAFer Booed Off CPAC Stage

Backlash at Condemnation of GOPride Inclusion in Rightist Confab

Sometimes, once in a great while, the right wingnuts get something right -- in the same way that even a busted clock is still right twice a day. Witness the crowd reaction to the slimy, hateful comments of one Ryan Sorba, an up-and-coming young prick from the California chapter of Young Americans for Fascism... uhh, Freedom, as he condemns CPAC for including a gay Republican contingent at the conference. Witness also Sorba's even more annoying thuggish, cocky responses:

Tea Partiers are White Nationalists, Pure and Simple

“The GOP is, at its core, a Rich Man's Party that relies for its mass support on people who want to vote for a White Man's Party.”

Glen Ford writes at Black Agenda Report:
The Tea Party crowd is as old as notions of American Manifest Destiny. They are White Nationalists, who yearn for “a time when the United States was a self-proclaimed White Man's Country.” Tea Partiers are most threatening to the cohesion and identity of the Republican Party. But they appear to have panicked some Blacks and progressives, who want “circle the wagons around the Obama administration” in the face of racist attacks.

Corporate media go through all manner of contortions of logic and historical gymnastics to sanitize the Tea Party phenomenon – anything to avoid calling the people grouped under the Tea Party umbrella by their proper name: White nationalists. White nationalism is a taboo subject in most corporate circles – and even among some on the Left. The continued appeal of a loud and boisterous White Nationalism threatens the prevailing American mythology, shared by the likes of corporate Democrat Barack Obama and corporate Republican John McCain: the myth that racism is not endemic to American life and history... >more

Effects of Tancredo Literacy Test Ripple Across Nation

Millions of Teabaggers' Voting Rights Revoked in Massive FAILfest

By now, most of you are discussing Tom Tancredo's proposal -- put forth at the recent Tea Party shindig -- that America return to Jim Crow-era literacy tests to determine who should be allowed to vote. Recently-uncovered photographic evidence from Teabagger rallies across America suggests that this measure could end up strangling the nascent Tea Party movement in its crib. (Tip of the tricorn hat to reader Pat at Lady Liberty's Lamp.)

Raving and Drooling: Teabaggers' National Powwow Kicks Off With A Bang

Noted Suit'n'tie Klansman Tom Tancredo Calls for Jim Crow-era Measures Against Immigrant Voters, Rails Against "Cult of Multiculturalism"

You'd have thought Dr. Who had brought some good old down-home segregationist yahoos back with him from the 1950s the way infamous racist nutcake Tom Tancredo carried on about the intelligence of voters who elected Barack Obama in his speech to the first National Tea Party Convention this past Thursday. As usual, and like all your average Teabaggers, Tancredo displayed his ignorance by referring to corporate centrist Obama as a "socialist idealogue", declaring that Obama won the White House due to the lack of "...a civics, literacy test before people can vote in this country," according to a report posted at ABC News.

Also -- and, as per usual -- Tancredo made the arrogant assumption that this country only legitimately belonged to white people: "This is our country...let's take it back," raved Tancredo, to a reception lacking only the chants of "Seig Heil" to identify its real values and intentions at a convention featuring former Alaska governor, Vice Presidential candidate and beauty queen Sarah Palin as its keynote speaker (for a fee of $100,000).

Putting the lie to the Teabaggers' claims that they aren't racists, outfits like the National Socialist Movement and Stormfront -- you know, the Nazis -- enthusiastically echoed Tancredo's attitudes on immigration and culture after Thursday's speech. The VNN Forum was especially raving and drooling. Tomasz Winnicki of London, Ontario, Canada snarls:
"Ahhh... democracy... where every university mathematics professor's vote is just as equal as that of any jobless mental retard's on welfare. I caught an interview of someone from the Tea Party movement on CBC radio while driving home from work one night. I don't recall whether it was Tom Tancredo himself or someone else from the Tea Party but I recall thinking 'Wow... one or two more steps in the right direction and these guys will turn racialist like us'. Why is it so hard for those 'conservatives' to realize that civilization is a function of race?"

But, wait! There's MORE! Those of you who follow the TW with any regularity are familiar with the escapades of one Marcus Epstein, racist paleocon and co-founder of the Robert Taft Club (their Web site is apparently 404), arrested as a result of a racist violence incident in Washington DC and executive director of the Team America PAC, founded by none other than Tom Tancredo! Well, folks, it also turns out that despite that incident and the criminal charges stemming from it, Little Marcus is still serving as executive director at Team America. D'ohhh! Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, there, Mr. Tancredo!

James O'Keefe and the Teabuggers: The Continuing Saga

The Envelope, please...!

This week James O'Keefe, famous for his "investigative reporting" on ACORN consisting of wearing a really bad pimp outfit and doing a really bad job of impersonating a pimp, was arrested with three others for the attempted bugging of Senator Mary Landrieu's office in New Orleans -- and videotaped themselves doing it while doing really bad impersonations of telephone company workers.

What with the media shitstorm breaking loose over this, we at the TW thought this might be a good time to pore over all the juicy nuggets of media goodness, and present the best to you -- thanks and big ups again to one of our faves, Gawker:

01.26.10: What We Know About The Republican Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight:
So who are the four geniuses who got arrested by the FBI yesterday for—apparently—trying to tap the phone of a sitting U.S. senator?

James O'Keefe, Robert Flanagan, Stan Dai, and Joseph Basel, were arrested by U.S. Marshals yesterday for "entering federal property under false pretenses for the purpose of committing a felony" after they allegedly dressed up as telephone repairmen and attempted to tamper with the phones of Sen. Mary Landrieu's New Orleans office. O'Keefe is 25 years old, the rest are all 24... >more

01.27.10: Teabuggers, Day 2: Let's Not Jump To Conclusions...
When it comes to the arrest of James O'Keefe, patron Andrew Breitbart is not jumping to conclusions. The MSM may want to convict O'Keefe, but Breitbart is waiting for the facts, so that he can ignore the inconvenient ones.

Here's Andrew's first full blog post on the O'Keefe's little plot to "interfere" with the phones in Sen. Mary Landrieu's office, after he gave a couple ass-covering statements about having no idea what O'Keefe was up to:
I'm sure [the liberal media] would like to believe O'Keefe is stupid enough to try to "wiretap" a sitting U.S. senator in broad daylight during office hours, while recording the entire sequence of events on his cell phone camera. And they'd like you to believe it, too.

But there is absolutely no allegation in the criminal complaint that "wiretapping" or "bugging" is any part of this case, just the charge that O'Keefe and the others entered Sen. Landrieu's office in New Orleans "for the purpose of interfering with the office's telephone system."...>more

01.07.10: Drudge Protegé Andrew Breitbart "Goes To War":
Here comes BigJournalism.com. Drudge protege Andrew Breitbart has just launched his new media site and he's ready for war.

Breitbart, the Washington Times columnist and mogul of news aggregator Breitbart.com, Breitbart.tv, Big Hollywood and Big Government, made his name as a Drudge Report editor.

Breitbart told us in a phone interview that he's going to war with biased old-media — and even new media types, from The New York Times to Anderson Cooper to the Huffington Post — with his new site.

He said: "I'm trying to fill a huge market void for original reporting and fact based journalism" for the "silent minority around the world" (that would be the right).

"This metaphorical warfare. This is not real bombs, but this is word bombs."...>more

And, now, gang, let's go out to the movies!

For our opening feature, we see that Fox News is devestated -- devestated -- by the arrest of Andrew Breitbart's little boy O'Keefe for breaking and entering on Government property:

...and, to ice off this lip-smacking good Media Nugget Cake, here's Matt Drudge's butt-buddy Andrew Breitbart, melting down in an MSNBC interview:

Truth Busts Out: Teabaggers Throw Around the N-Word

Well, Well, Well...Looks Like This Cartoon Was Right, After All!

GET A BRAIN, MORANS! Teabagger Dale Robertson was reportedly booted out of event because of this sign. A little late, huh? Yeah, it sure sucks when the truth sneaks out.

David Weigel reports in the Washington Independent:

Dale Robertson, a Tea Party activist who operates TeaParty.org, is getting stung for an old photo — taken at the Feb. 27, 2009 Tea Party in Houston — in which he holds a sign reading “Congress = Slaveowner, Taxpayer = Niggar.”

After the ResistNet listerv promoted “Liberty Concerts” to be held by TeaParty.org, a source passed on this photo of Robertson, after the jump. UPDATE: Josh Parker of the Houston Tea Party Society tells me that Robertson was booted out of the event for this sign... >more
